Invention of digit "Zero"

Aryabhata was the first of the great astronomers of the ancient age of India. He was born in 476 AD in Ashmaka but later on he lived in Kusumapura, which his commentator Bhaskara I (629 AD) identifies with Patilputra (in modern India Known as "Patna"). Aryabhata gave digit "0" (zero) to the world  for which he became immortal worldwide.

Resons Behind the Invention of Digit "Zero"

Aryabhatta invented zero that means he thinking about some number like the digit "zero" exists and one can represent Ten as Symbol of one as ten digit and Symbol of zero as unit digit. This was firstly added in Bakhshali Manuscript and then it was added in other Lipis. Brahmagupta also deserves for the some credits for invention of digit "zero".

Who defined digit "Zero" 1st Time

Brahmagupta a scholar and mathematician in 628 A.D. first time defined zero and its mathematical operation and developed a symbol for it. He had also drives rules for mathematical operations like addition and subtraction using zero.

First Use of Digit "Zero"

The first recorded zero appeared in Mesopotamia around 3 B.C. It was later devised in India in the middle of 5th century, spread to Cambodia near the end of the 7th century, into China and the Islamic countries at the end of the 8th century.
